    • Reverted the customized Contact Page. The default Contact Page template will be used going forward with customizations possibly re-added in a separate addon

    • Fixed some style bugs related to visitor tab labels in certain layouts
    • Replaced Google font entries in all themes to a new three-line format (prefetch, rel=preload, and rel=stylesheet). The first entry, dns prefetch, is added globally within the page container. The remaining two lines are now found in the Style Properties -> Typography -> Google fonts field, such as the following example:

      You should note that the font entry is identical in the two lines, however they start with different rel="" versions. More info on this coming soon. If you've customized your Google Font settings, this is not mandatory method to follow, but is simply provided by default in all themes for better optimization.
  • Carousels
    • Rewrote Slick slider templates and CSS/Less handling. Updated to latest Slick framework and optimized macros with all latest supported various
    • Redesigned all carousel arrow and dot controls according to latest Slick framework
    • Slick sliders are now initiated with the nl_slick_init_macros template using the following macro:
      <xf:macro template="nl_slick_init_macros" name="default"/>
    • Greater support is available for changing the position or orientation of arrow controls, such as hozirontal vs vertical, outside or inside alignment to slider track, etc (More info coming soon)
  • Sidebar
    • Prefixes in sidebar content titles can now be hidden
  • Forum List
    • Removed an outdated Javascript snippet which used to help change forum category headers to the split title/description appearance. This functionality is now in the templates
  • Discussion List
    • Fixed some bugs in certain themes related to changing between the discussion grid and list
  • Social
    • Rel=me and Rel=nofollow tags are now longer conditionally added via settings, but are permanent within the templates
  • Addon Related
    • Removed product grid support from themes in favor of the new Nulumia DragonByte Ecommerce Responsive Grids addon
    • Updated certain DragonByte eCommerce templates to latest templates

Overview

This update represents the last feature release for the Xenforo 2.1.x, and brings multiple optimizations and small improvements. While additional XF 2.1.x patches will be released surrounding bug fixes or to address any additional patches provided by Xenforo, all major new theme features will be continuing on Xenforo 2.2.x.

If you are planning to delay updating your forum to Xenforo 2.2, you can update your themes to this edition once they receive the update. Stay tuned for a notification when your theme is ready to download.

For users of DragonByte eCommerce, please read the following
Starting in this release, customized product grids for DragonByte eCommerce will require installation of our separate Responsive Products Grids for DragonByte eCommerce addon.

This functionality has been moved out of Nulumia themes in favor of a more powerful and flexible addon, which will also allow for easier upgrades.

Q&A

Q: Will you continue to support Xenforo 2.1.x once Xenforo 2.2 is officially released?
A: Yes, as stated additional theme updates will be released for bug fixes or to address security patch released by Xenforo.

Q: If I update my board to Xenforo 2.2, will I need to purchase a new theme or some sort of extension?
A: NO, Nulumia has never required new purchases of themes or addons when a new version of Xenforo is released. Existing customers will immediately get free access to the XF 2.2 theme versions in the same Download page interface.
